Einführung von Münzen

The Girl Scouts were founded on March 12, 1912, by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah, Georgia. The organization is  the world's largest leadership group dedicated to girls and helps teach courage, confidence, and character.   In 2009, Congress authorized the mintage of up to 350,000 coins honoring the centennial of the organization. Surcharges of $10 per coin were donated to Girl Scouts of the USA which made these funds available for program development and delivery. The coins proved relatively unpopular, and only 35% of the allotted mintage was sold, some 123,817 coins total.Mehr lesen
