The half dimes coined during 1836 probably included some dated 1835, yet this date is fairly common across most grades. There is just the single date size for 1836, but it appears in combination with both the Small 5C. and Large 5C. Both of these major varieties are readily collectable. Four obverse dies were paired with five reverses to produce the seven die marriages known for this date. LM-1 is rare, and LM-2, -6 and -7 are somewhat scarce.
