ONE DIME
Introducción de monedas
This issue's mintage of a million+ pieces was significantly higher than for its cousins from Philadelphia and New Orleans. The likely explanation is that the San Francisco Mint produced no dimes for circulation at all the previous year. While worn examples are not rare, this issue does become quite elusive in higher grades. Gems are extremely rare and result in tremendous bidder competition. As is true of most San Francisco Mint coins from this decade, examples having semi-prooflike fields are known. A nice repunched date variety may be found for this issue, but the scarcity and high prices for 1895-S dimes limits the premium that may be expected for any variety.Leer más
