With the return of normal circulation demand the mintage of dimes once again rose into the millions. This issue is common across all grades shy of MS 67. Higher mintages meant a return, too, to the striking problems typical of earlier years. Liberty's head is often incomplete, and softness of strike may be seen in the bow wreath and the upper left part of the wreath. These design features are all opposite the deepest parts of the die cavities, and this hindered the flow of metal into the deeper recesses. Minor date varieties are known for 1882 dimes. With the exception of F-102, a Top 100 entry, these have attracted little interest from the overall coin hobby.Leer más
