This issue is scarce to rare across all grades, with most survivors being quite heavily worn. There were very few persons collecting current coins by date and mint in 1915. Such activity did not become popular until 20 years later, by which time many 1915 S nickels had already been rendered dateless. The quality of Mint State pieces is highly variable, with a number of extremely sharp examples known. Most, however, are a bit weak in places or were coined from badly worn and furrowed dies. Two triple-punched mintmark varieties exist for this date, though the degree of separation between impressions is so slight as to make the variety hard to discern on worn coins.Leer más
