Introducción de monedas

This issue is fairly common across most grades. The typical example is not quite fully struck, with weakness in the Indian's hair above the knot and on the highest relief portion of the bison's coat, just above the foreleg. Luster is usually good, though it may be interrupted by furrows on coins struck from very worn dies. An oddity of the date on 1916 nickels of all three mints is that numeral 6 is noticeably taller than the others. Since the other three numerals were already in place when the master die for this year was sunk, the engraver had only to add this final numeral, but he evidently misjudged the size.Leer más
