Introducción de monedas
The proof silver and minor coins of 1876 all have enlarged mintages, as Philadelphia hosted that year's USA Centennial exposition. A tour of the mint and the purchasing of souvenir coins were both anticipated by visitors to the fair at a time when family vacations typically lasted weeks or even months. Thus, this date is more common than others of the period, and it is one of a very few from that decade certified as Ultra Cameo. Three die marriages are known from the combining of two obverses with three reverses. One reverse is the Type 1 die dating from 1872, while the other two were taken from the new Type 2 hub on which letters TAT of STATES are clear of one another.Leer más
