Introducción de monedas
The Denver Mint coined 114,411,608 1964-dated half dollars during this year and another 41,793,838 in 1965, accounting for the total mintage displayed above. As with their Philadelphia Mint cousins, the 1964-D halves were destined to be hoarded in Mint State condition, with the ones that actually circulated rarely being found in less than AU-50 state. The vast majority of unworn survivors are quite heavily marked from years of being traded by the bag and thus repeatedly in contact with one another. Gems are fairly available through MS-66, but this issue is rare above that grade. The 1964-D half dollar is rich in doubled-die and repunched mintmark varieties.Leer más
