A generous mintage has made this a common issue in all grades through MS-64. Well made as a rule, there are more than the usual number of gem survivors. A new obverse master hub was created, and this has the word LIBERTY a bit more deeply incised. This improved its durability, even as the rest of the coin wore, and grading circulated 1909-15 half dollars is affected slightly.
