The Liberty Cap Cent was the final entry for this year of three cents. It has a simplified wreath which required less hand finishing work after being hubbed. The portrait device is transitional with the early cents of 1794, before it was remodeled to have more consistent relief and thus bearing wearing qualities. Six die marriages are known for 1793 Liberty Cap Cents. All are scarce to some degree, with S-13 being the one more often seen.
