This issue is moderately scarce in the lower circulated grades and becomes genuinely rare in grades VF and higher. Mint State pieces tend to be a bit weakly struck in the usual trouble spots of Liberty's head and the bow knot opposite it on the reverse. The coin illustrated is an extreme example of weak striking and matches the description of Gerry Fortin's 102a die state having a "very weak date."En savoir plus
