Jeff Garrett:  This issue is very rare at the top level and one of the most difficult to locate in Gem condition. Like its Philadelphia counterpart, the 1908-D No Motto is usually found with dull luster and is softly struck. Notable examples include the Kruthoffer and Eliasberg specimens.
