Introduction des pièces de monnaie
Despite its low mintage, the 1915-S quarter dollar is only slight in most circulated grades. Mint State survivors are likewise more plentiful than expected, perhaps due to being saved as the last S-Mint Barber Quarters. Gems, however, and David Lawrence described the typical MS coin as "baggy," a reference to the many contact marks attributed to coins being stored in bags and moved frequently. A very minor repunched mintmark is known, but this has attracted little interest from collectors. David Lawrence observed five slightly different mintmark positions, an indication of sporadic production over a period of months.En savoir plus
