The proofs of 1895 were quite well made, and this appears to have had a positive effect on the number of gem survivors. As the 1890s progressed the percentage of pieces made with contrasting fields and devices increased, and this is reflected in the higher percentage of Cameo and Ultra Cameo coins for this issue as compared to the earlier dates.En savoir plus
