Sales of the silver proof set rose in 1866, perhaps in response to the addition of the motto IN GOD WE TRUST to the larger coins. Still, 725 pieces is a very small number by modern standards, and this issue is certainly not common. These coins compete with the very few surviving Mint State currency strikes for collector attention.
