硬幣介紹
A high mintage for the period, combined with better quality control than at the Philadelphia Mint, has left this issue with a large number of certified gems grading through MS-66, both with and without FBL. A number of these coins will display toning from the Mint's Uncirculated Sets. These were offered for sale early in the following year, a practice that dated from the first such sets in 1947. The pricing was determined by the number of denominations produced by each of the mints, and as this varied from year to year it could not be set until after the calendar year concluded. The sets also contained two of each denomination and mint, so that collectors could display obverse and reverse simultaneously, a very quaint concept by 1957. The only variety noted is FS-501, a repunched D mintmark.閱讀更多
