The number of proofs coined during the 1890s remained within a very narrow range. Interest in this date is perhaps a bit higher than for others of the decade, due to the modest production of circulating halves at the Philadelphia Mint in 1896. The number of certified gems is noticeably down from 1895, and few of these display Cameo contrast. Examples certified as Ultra Cameo are very rare and highly sought.閱讀更多
