Introduction of Coins
The Carson City Mint struck more silver dollars in 1893 than any of the other three branch mints with a mintage of 677,000 coins. However, this mintage doesn't make up for the allure of the 1893 year. Due to the year and relatively low survival rates, this coin is one of the keys in the series. Any uncirculated example is worth well into the four figures, and gem examples often bring mid-five figure prices. (9/2016)
