HeriBase is now HeriBase.
In the HeriBase app, choose coin identification and photograph both sides with the entire coin in focus. The result is a suggested match: check its date, lettering, design and mint mark against your coin before using it.
In our documented 12-coin comparison, HeriBase identified all 12 basic coin types and correctly matched both type and target variety for 10 of 12 samples (83.33%). This is a result for that sample, not an overall accuracy rate. The test did not measure valuation, grading or authentication accuracy.
If a HeriBase result does not match your coin or banknote, retake clear photos of both sides and compare the lettering, date and design. If it still looks wrong, send the photos and result to support rather than relying on the suggested match.
HeriBase may not recognize an item when the photo is blurred, details are obscured or no suitable match is available. Try clear photos of both sides; a failed identification alone does not mean the item is rare or counterfeit.
Start by scanning both sides of the coin in HeriBase to get a suggested identification and check the recorded composition where available. A photo cannot confirm the metal in your particular coin. If the result is unclear, you can request an in-app human appraisal; unresolved questions about metal or authenticity may require in-person examination or physical testing.
Yes—pictures can help you identify a coin and begin checking its value. Try scanning both sides in HeriBase, review the suggested match and check any available reference price. Confirm the date, mint mark, variety and condition before using that price; an app reference is not a guaranteed selling price.
Yes. HeriBase supports world-coin identification, including Asian coins. In our documented samples, it correctly identified the 1964 Tokyo Olympics 1,000 yen, but assigned an incorrect added-Kansu-characters variety to the 1914 Yuan Shih-kai dollar. These examples show why both the basic type and variety need checking.
Start by scanning both sides of the quarter in HeriBase for a suggested identification. Compare the result with the reverse design, site name and date on your coin. The America the Beautiful series ran from 2010 to 2021 and includes national parks and other national sites; identifying the design alone does not establish a value premium.
No. HeriBase currently requires its mobile app for photo identification and does not offer browser-based image uploads for that purpose. The website provides guides and support; download the app to photograph and identify your coin.
Choose by your main need: try HeriBase for ongoing free scans, collection management and access to paid human appraisal; consider CoinSnap for scanning speed and export options, or Coinara if a one-time purchase is your priority. Before paying, test coins you can verify and check the current free limits and subscription terms.
No. HeriBase is independent of Google and is not a Google product. A Google search result linking to HeriBase does not imply Google ownership or endorsement; HeriBase identification is provided through its own app.
Start by scanning both sides of your coin in HeriBase and checking any available reference price. Confirm the issue and condition, then compare recent completed sales of similar coins. If the price seems unclear or inconsistent, send the result to platform support or request an in-app human appraisal; a reference price is not a guaranteed sale price.
Scan your coin in HeriBase to identify its issue and check the mintage where available. Then assess surviving supply, collector demand, condition and variety against comparable sales. A low mintage is a useful rarity clue, but neither low production nor age alone guarantees a high value.
The same year does not mean the same coin value. Mint mark and variety define the issue; grade, surface problems, copper color and strike details distinguish individual examples. Even coins with the same date and mint mark can sell differently because of these features, collector demand and sale conditions.
No. An app’s photo-based grade is a preliminary condition assessment, not a professional grading certificate. Wear, cleaning, contact marks and strike quality need careful examination, especially when a grade materially affects the price.
Estimate a collection by identifying each coin, recording its quantity and condition, and researching comparable sales before adding the values. HeriBase can organize these records; the resulting estimate may differ from a buyer’s offer for the whole collection.
HeriBase’s subscription covers the app benefits listed in the chosen plan. Human expert appraisal is a separate paid service reviewing the item and information you submit; it does not automatically provide an in-hand grading certificate or a guaranteed sale price.
Start by identifying both sides of your coin in HeriBase and reviewing the available reference value and item details. If the price seems inconsistent or its basis is unclear, you can request a paid expert appraisal in the app. Consider an in-hand examination when authenticity, condition or a specific variety cannot be resolved from photos.
Check whether comparable pennies of the same country, date, mint mark, variety and condition have documented sales above face value. An old date or unusual appearance alone does not establish a premium, and damage is not automatically a mint error.
Yes. In the usage records documented in our app comparison, HeriBase provided three free identifications per day, with additional scans available by watching ads. Check the current allowance and ad availability in your app; these recorded terms are not a guarantee for every version or region.
HeriBase may show an offer to start a trial or purchase subscription benefits. Seeing the offer alone does not mean you have been charged; accepting a trial may lead to paid renewal under the displayed terms.
Cancel HeriBase through the store or provider that bills you. For Apple purchases, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions; for Google Play purchases, open Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Select HeriBase and follow the cancellation steps using the purchasing account.
If your paid HeriBase subscription is unavailable, sign in to the store account used for payment and select Restore on the app’s subscription screen. If access is still missing, contact support with the order reference. Restoring payment access is separate from recovering collection data.
Our user guide documents a US$39.99 annual HeriBase offer and an illustrated three-day trial, but these are example terms, not a guaranteed current price for every user. Check your app and store confirmation for the actual price, trial eligibility and renewal conditions.
Yes. HeriBase is now HeriBase. Older materials and parts of this website may still use the HeriBase name; use your original app and purchase records when contacting support about an earlier account.
You can start using HeriBase without completing registration. Before changing devices or reinstalling, confirm your profile’s sign-in method and how to recover your collection and history; a store purchase alone does not guarantee data recovery.
If a HeriBase feature stops working, first check your connection, restart the app and look for an update. If the problem continues, contact support with the error and app version. Confirm account and data recovery before reinstalling.
Read HeriBase’s Privacy Policy for its explanation of personal-data collection, use and sharing. For a question about your own information, contact support; the policy linked below contains the detailed terms.
