Introduction of Coins
2011 was the 26th year of the Silver Eagle, and it's 25th anniversary. The Mint released a special 5-coin set this year, which brought back the reverse-proof finish of the 2006 special set. It also included one other set-only coin, a mint state coin with the "S" mint mark of San Fransisco. The bullion 2011 silver eagle once again had a record mintage of over 40 million pieces.Read More
