Introduction of Coins
Though the mintage of dimes at Philadelphia fell to less than half that of the previous year, this is still a very common issue across all grades through MS 67. Most examples are a bit weakly struck and may show considerable erosion of the dies from overuse. Coins displaying FT features form a minority of the surviving population, though they are more likely to be submitted for grading. Though just one doubled-die variety is known, this for the obverse, it's a good one that is quite popular with collectors.Read More
