1962-D dimes seems to be fairly similar in both overall and condition rarity to their Philadelphia cousins. Both issues were hoarding by the tens of thousands at the time, though they were traded almost solely in bulk as commodities until recent decades. At least two repunched mintmark varieties are known for 1962-D dimes, one of them having the final punching over a previous punching that was rotated 90 degrees from normal.Read More
