This has proved to be one of the most consistently well struck and lustrous issues in the Mercury Dime series, and examples are plentiful through the grade of MS-67 FB. From 1937 through 1945, it is the D-Mint dimes that are most often found in satisfying condition, and 1939-D is one of the standout issues.
