Introduction of Coins
Though 1928-D dimes had a mintage comparable to that of 1927 dimes from the Denver Mint, they are somewhat more available in Mint State. A few rolls of this issue were available from dealers in the mid-late 1930s, when the collecting of current or recent United States coins experienced its first significant growth period. Circulated examples are very scarce in grades XF and AU, perhaps more so than in the lower MS grades. Their prices, however, are held in check by the minimum values for MS pieces.Read More
