Introduction of Coins
This issue is scarce in all but the lower circulated grades, and Mint State pieces moderately rare. Gems (MS 65 and above) are particularly challenging to find. When found, however, these coins are well struck and have good to excellent luster. 1908 proved to be the high watermark for Barber Dime varieties, and the San Francisco Mint received and used a number of obverse dies featuring repunched dates. Typically, these are quite minor and difficult to detect on circulated pieces.Read More
