Introduction of Coins
As its mintage suggests, this is a very scarce entry in the Seated Liberty Dime series. Circulated examples are in constant demand from collectors. Compounding the difficulty in finding one in the higher circulated grades is the fact that most are weakly struck, though not always in the same place. Mint State pieces are all but unknown. There are no collectable varieties, and the entire mintage was produced with a single reverse die leftover from 1842 and having the Medium O mintmark.Read More
