An extremely rare With Motto ten whose mintage of only 9,000 pieces goes a long way toward explaining the rarity of this issue. It is such a dramatic condition rarity that when Akers compiled and wrote his book on the ten-dollar series, he made the statement that he had never seen a '67-S that graded a full XF. He ranked it as the sixth rarest issue in the entire series by frequency of appearance in public auctions. No mint state pieces have been certified by either of the major services.
