Introduction of Coins
This year marked the first significant coinage of quarter dollars at the San Francisco Mint since 1930. All 1935-S quarters feature the Medium Motto obverse, which is transitional with 1934. Mint State coins are plentiful from original rolls that were once commonplace in the coin market but now have almost certainly been broken up for singles. Gems have been certified in numbers sufficient to meet the demand from advanced collectors, though many specimens will show signs of die erosion from extended use. Buyers are advised to seek coins that were struck from fresh dies and have smooth fields.Read More
