Introduction of Coins
America was once again at war in 1951, and the economy recovered rapidly from the recent recession. 1951-D quarters were plentiful in circulation right up until the withdrawal of all silver coins by the end of 1968. This issue was well made, but examples seem to be more subject to contact marks than their Philly and San Francisco counterparts. Thus, the population of coins certified as MS 67 is a bit thin. Varieties are few, but they include a fairly good DDO and a popular RPM, as well.Read More
