Although not quite as rare as the 1864 and 1865, the 1866 (7,100 business strikes produced) is anything but common in an absolute sense. Probably no more than 150 pieces were set aside and did not enter circulation. Judging by current population reports, the majority of Mint State survivors are clustered at the MS63-64 grade levels, which is what one would expect.
