Introduction of Coins
This is almost certainly the finest S-Mint Buffalo Nickel in terms of overall luster, surfaces and strike. It is also seemingly the most common in terms of surviving Mint State pieces, as this date was still being issued by banks a year or two later and was thus squirreled away by collectors and speculators. Repunched mintmark varieties are numerous for 1937 S nickels, though they are more subtle than those of the previous two years and have attracted only limited interest.Read More
