HALF DIME
Introduction of Coins
Worn examples of this issue are not rare, though precious few of them are suitable for numeric certified grading. The majority of worn pieces have suffered various forms of abuse, not the least of which was being fashioned into jewelry trinkets of one sort or another. Mint State survivors are very rare. Walter Breen reported seeing just eight in a hoard of half dimes he examined in 1968, though a few may have been obtained from other sources.Read More
