Introduction of Coins
The modest mintage of 1858-O quarters has made this a very rare issue in Mint State or any grade approaching MS. Circulated pieces are available, but these skew toward the lowest grades. The quality of striking varies with this issue, though poorly struck coins are not as frequent as for 1857-O.
