Introduction of Coins
A modest mintage for this issue has rendered it scarce to rare across all grades. Examples grading Fine and higher are in constant demand from collectors, and Mint State survivors are genuinely rare. It appears that the New Orleans Mint had by this time used up its 1893 shipment of reverse dies having the mintmark placed far to the right.
