Introduction of Coins
With a mintage approaching two million pieces, the 1898-O quarter dollar is fairly plentiful in grades below Fine. The rarity curve rises rapidly through the higher circulated grades, while Mint State examples are genuinely rare. Gems of this date/mint are extremely rare, and 1898-O is a major obstacle to the advanced collector of this series. There are no varieties reported for this issue.Read More
