Introduction of Coins
The 1901-O quarter dollar is among the most scarce issues for the Barber series. It is elusive and costly across all grades, with examples grading Fine and higher being moderately rare. Mint State specimens are truly rare in any grade, with gems being extremely so. All 1901-O quarters are from the 2/3 hub pair (see 1900 for a description). There are no varieties known, and the doubled-die reverse illustrated in David Lawrence's book is simply strike doubling.Read More
