1908-D quarter dollars are common across all grades through MS 64. Gems are not plentiful, but there appear to be enough to satisfy the demand from advanced collectors. This issue is also a bit better struck than the two previous Denver Mint entries. As noted for 1908(P), this date is a treasure chest of die-punching varieties. The 1908-D quarter is particularly rich in misplaced and repunched dates, all rather minor individually, but they add up to quite a collection when completed by a series specialist.
