Introduction of Coins
This is another wartime issue that was widely hoarded by the roll when new, and it is common through the grade of MS-67. Typical of Denver Mint coins from the period, the 1945-D half dollar is more often seen well struck than its coastal cousins. A very minor DDO variety is noted, but of more interest are the several RPMs. This is yet another issue that may be found with the monogram "AW" polished off the reverse die.Read More
