This is one of the easier issues from the 1890s to find in gem condition, though most certified pieces fall short of this mark. The typical specimen is well struck and lustrous. Circulated examples are plentiful in low grades, but examples in problem-free grades of F through XF are more challenging. Sliders grading AU-58 are not too difficult to find, and a collection of Barber Halves in this grade is a popular quest. There are no varieties reported for 1895(P).Read More
