Introduction of Coins
First struck in 1986, the Gold Eagle coin program is one of the world's most popular gold coin programs. The coins are available in 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, and 1oz sizes, with face values of $5, $10, $25, and $50, respectively. After a couple years above 70,000, the mintage of MS $10 gold eagles once again dropped, this time to just over 60,000 pieces. Quality slipped just a bit this year, with about 31% of coins submitted reaching the grade of MS70. (6/2016) Read More
