Introduction of Coins
First struck in 1986, the Gold Eagle coin program is one of the world's most popular gold coin programs. The coins are available in 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, and 1oz sizes, with face values of $5, $10, $25, and $50, respectively. The mintage of the 2007 bullion $10 gold eagle was just over half of the prior year. It's possible that the burnished W issue cannibalized some of those sales. Still, the coins were relatively well made with just about 35% getting the grade of MS70. (6/2016)Read More
