Introduction of Coins
First struck in 1986, the Gold Eagle coin program is one of the world's most popular gold coin programs. The coins are available in 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, and 1oz sizes, with face values of $5, $10, $25, and $50, respectively. In 2010, demand for bullion gold cooled off from the prior couple years. Due to this, the mintage of $10 bullion gold eagles dropped by 24,000 pieces. Unfortunately quality lagged a bit this year, as only 47% have graded MS70. (6/2016)Read More
