Introduction of Coins
First struck in 1986, the Gold Eagle coin program is one of the world's most popular gold coin programs. The coins are available in 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, and 1oz sizes, with face values of $5, $10, $25, and $50, respectively. 1994 saw a mintage of some 72,650 pieces, less than a thousand more than the previous year. Quality increased slightly as well this year, as evidenced by the MS70 percentage of nearly 7.4%. (6/2016)Read More
