Introduction of Coins

First struck in 1986, Gold Eagles are one of the world's most popular ways to buy gold. The coins are available in 1/10oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, and 1oz sizes, with face values of $5, $10, $25, and $50, respectively.   In 1995, the gold eagle program celebrated it's 10th year, although this was only the 8th issue for the proof version of the $10 eagle. The mintage dropped a bit to 47,526 coins. Quality improved again this year, with some 42% earning the grade of PF70UC. (6/2016)Read More
