Introduction of Coins
From this year onward, the Denver Mint cents of the 1920s were more routinely well struck. The extreme die erosion and frequent die cracks associated with earlier dates are less often seen on 1927-D cents. The bold example featured here was well struck from fresh dies and provides an excellent paradigm. Circulated coins are readily available, with only the AU grades being slightly scarce. Mint State pieces are fairly plentiful in the lesser grades, but those having full, original color are rare, especially in combination with sharp strikes and spot-free surfaces.Read More
