Introduction of Coins
This issue is common in all circulated grades, and fully red gems have been certified in sufficient numbers to meet the demand from advanced collectors. Though some 1936-D cents will reveal signs of die wear, the majority are reasonably well struck. The saving of BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) rolls was widespread from the early 1930s onward, and most of these rolls were not broken up until the 1970s and '80s. It is from this source that most higher grade coins have been obtained.Read More
