Produced between 1809 and 1836, the Classic Head Half Cent represents the second design type in the half-cent series, created by engraver John Reich. Its obverse presents Liberty wearing a traditional headband inscribed with "LIBERTY," while the reverse carries a simple wreath encircling the denomination. Although this marked the conclusion of the half-cent coinage, the series continues to be coveted by collectors today for its enduring appeal and notable scarcity.
