Flowing Hair Half Dollar

Struck exclusively in 1794 and 1795, the Flowing Hair Half Dollar represents one of the inaugural silver half dollar issues by the United States Mint. Its obverse displays Liberty with wind-swept tresses, while the reverse presents a small eagle within a wreath. Being both exceptionally rare and historically foundational, this early American coin remains exceptionally coveted by serious numismatists and represents a pinnacle of early federal coinage.
