The San Francisco Mint coined over 2.5 million silver dollars in 1899. However, the majority of these did not necessarily reach circulation. They were stored for decades in the vaults of the Mint before being released in the mid 20th century. This means high grade examples are available, but are surprising harder to find than the Philadelphia issue of this year which had a much lower mintage.阅读更多
