This issue has the third lowest mintage among 20th Century Barber Dimes, and its overall rarity is clearly reflected in the certified population. There is no grade in which 1903-S dimes are not elusive. When found in Mint State, this issue typically is boldly struck with excellent luster that may be semi-prooflike.
